We are working with a leading quantitative investment firm to hire an experienced Network Specialist to join their global infrastructure team. This is a high-impact role, focused on designing, implementing, and securing low-latency, scalable networks across data center, campus, and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will collaborate with software engineers, infrastructure architects, and key business stakeholders to deliver robust network solutions that support critical trading and research platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect and implement deterministic, highly available network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud environments
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into resilient and scalable network designs
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and vendor coordination
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance performance, security, and operational efficiency
  • Provide escalation support (L3) for critical incidents affecting network performance or availability
  • Contribute to automation and monitoring initiatives, continuously improving network observability and reliability
  • Produce high-quality documentation and network diagrams to support operational transparency and future development

Required experience

  • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, ideally within high-performance or latency-sensitive environments
  • Expertise in core routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, EVPN, STP, MLAG/vPC, VLAN/VxLAN
  • Proficiency in multicast technologies: PIM, IGMP, MSDP, SSM
  • Strong familiarity with Cisco and Arista platforms
  • Proven experience with data center and office network buildouts
  • Deep understanding of network security concepts: AAA, control planes, device hardening
  • Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Ansible, Git)
  • Familiarity with observability and orchestration tools (Prometheus, CVP, Elastic, Grafana)
  • Relevant certifications: CCNP required, CCIE preferred
