Overview
My client is a well-established and successful tech house working in the finance sector who are looking for a Python Developer, with outstanding technical and communication skills to join their existing team of software engineers! You will get the chance to work with some of the best technologists out there, hailing from a variety of the top tech houses and trading firms, to work on some of the most modern, innovative software in finance.
The Role
You will get the opportunity to build one of the most scalable and performant data platforms, not only in the finance space, but in the world. Working alongside some of the smartest people in London, you will get a true input into the end-to-end SDLC and get to make a genuine impact on a growing business. This is a high-impact role within a performance-obsessed environment where technical excellence is the baseline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building one of the world's most scalable and performant data platforms
- Contributing to the end-to-end SDLC of mission-critical financial software
- Collaborating with elite technologists from top-tier tech houses and trading firms
- Developing and maintaining high-performance REST microservices
- Making a genuine impact on system architecture and business growth
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python (2+ Years)
- Experience working with REST Microservices
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working with very large data sets
- Knowledge of big data tools (Spark, Kafka etc)
- Experience working in finance (Preferred)
- Strong formal education - ideally in Computer Science
