A rapidly scaling fintech unicorn is seeking a strong Python Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team building AI-driven financial technology products. The company is tackling complex, real-world problems across financial workflows with a modern, automation-first and AI-assisted approach. The Role
As a Python Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building and scaling backend systems that power the company’s fintech platform, working closely with product, data, and AI teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based backend systems, APIs, and services
- Ensuring auto-generated and AI-assisted code is production-ready, secure, and maintainable
- Embedding and operationalising AI-driven capabilities, including LLM-powered features, monitoring, and evaluation
- Collaborating across cross-functional teams while promoting best practices in modern, AI-assisted software engineering
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience as a Python Software Engineer, with a focus on APIs and backend systems
- Familiarity with agentic AI tooling or strong interest in AI-driven development
- Proactive mindset and enthusiasm for adopting new technologies
- An entrepreneurial, self-starting attitude suited to a fast-moving startup environment
